DFW is one of the hottest places to move to in the country, according to data from the Texas Association of Realtors. More than one half million people moved to Texas in 2016 and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex welcomed the largest number of new residents: 123,661.

The moving app Updater also found 11 percent of the U.S. population moves to DFW every year, only second behind Washington, D.C.  North Texas adds 100,000 jobs every year, and with major companies like Toyota, JPMorgan Chase and Liberty Mutual relocating to DFW in 2017, it’s not surprising so many people are moving to our area!

“It’s got really great colleges, great weather and a more calming lifestyle than New York or D.C.,” said Jenna Weinerman, chief marketing officer for Updater, in a press release. Weinerman also pointed out that while DFW is always growing, it’s still easier to get around via car than Los Angeles or New York. “Of the top five [cities on the list], it’s the best for driving.”

Normandy Homes is excited to welcome even more new residents to our state in 2018. As a boutique builder in DFW with award-winning homes in prime locations across the Metroplex, our designs are innovative, architecturally authentic, and built to the highest quality craftsmanship.

In 2018, we’re proud to introduce even more Normandy Homes communities in the best locations near area shopping, dining and major employment hubs. Normandy is now selling in the Estates at Shaddock Park, situated in an amazing Frisco ISD location, and The Reserve on Parker, a coveted Carrollton community ideal for commuters.
