The Normandy Homes Star Of The Game Award will be presented every year to a Dallas Stars player who earns the most points through a voting contest conducted after each regular-season game. The award kicked off at Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth last month where team captain, Jamie Benn, receveid the award for 2013-14 Star of The Game. Kari Lehtonen finished second in the voting and Tyler Seguin finished third.
Normandy Homes Donates To Local Charities
The Stars players will select a charities every year that will receive a total of $3,000 from Normandy Homes. The first $1,000 will be donated to the player leading the Three Stars voting on November 30. The player who gains the most votes from December to January will receive another $1,000 and finally, Normandy Homes will donate the last $1,000 at the end of the season to a charity chosen by the overall winner. This year’s winner, Jamie Benn, has chosen the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to receive Normandy Homes’ $1,000 contribution. The society will also receive home game tickets for the remainder of the 2013-14 season as well as next year.
