1. Location is everything

Remember, even if the specific issue is not especially important to you, could it affect a future homebuyer’s decision when you’re ready to sell?
4. Taxes and Fees
Many potential homebuyers overlook the monthly taxes and fees that can come packaged with your new home. Bear in mind that every home will have property taxes, but check to see if there is a community homeowners association (HOA) that may add to the monthly expenses. The golden rule here is fairly simple: Know what you’re getting into and if you can afford it. Be sure that the amount of property taxes and any future HOA assessments are transparent and understood from the start.
