What to Expect When Building Your New Home

We’ve streamlined the process into eight key stages of construction, each designed to ensure quality craftsmanship and a smooth experience.

Stage 1:

Foundation

The home's foundation is prepared and poured, creating a strong, durable base that supports the entire structure.

Stage 2:

Framing

Framing is where your home's structure takes shape, with the walls, roof, windows, and framework installed, bringing your floorplan to life for the first time.

Stage 3:

Mechanical

Mechanical is when the essential behind-the-scenes systems, including plumbing, electrical wiring, and HVAC, are installed to bring your home one step closer to completion.

Stage 4:

Drywall

Drywall is when your home starts to feel like a finished space as drywall is installed and textured inside while exterior features continue to take shape.

Stage 5:

Cabinets & Trim

This is the stage where your personal style comes to life as cabinets, countertops, trim, and interior doors are installed, transforming the house into a home.

Stage 6:

Paint & Fixtures

Paint & Fixtures is when your home gains its finished look as paint, lighting, and plumbing fixtures are installed, bringing color, character, and functionality to every space.

Stage 7:

Flooring

Flooring is installed throughout the home, bringing all the design elements together and revealing the finished vision of your new home.

Stage 8:

Finishing Touches

Finishing Touches is the final stage before move-in, where quality inspections, last-minute adjustments, and your homeowner walkthrough ensure your new home meets Normandy's high standards and is ready for you to enjoy.
